what is an orifice tube? (A/C)

that's supposed to be a replacement... do our cars have an orifice tube?

Yep, our cars have an expansion valve instead of an orifice tube. They do the same thing, just a little different from each other. Orifice tube is a tiny little thing that fits right inside the a/c hose. In ours it's an "L" shaped piece in the evaporator case, connected to the high pressure line from the compressor to the in tube on evaporator.

cool cuz I remember the expansion valve install but I never replaced any orifice valve, I thought I discovered another ghetto surprise in my car.
