here's my engine vacuum reading @ idle after I relpaced the cylinder head a while back, the reading is usually 20-21 in-Hg now (this is after a lot of stuff being removed lol) it used to average in the 15-ish range

Does anybody else get such a high reading?

Oh, check out my electric supercharger:

When I tested mine it was right at 21 in-Hg on the nose, and did not move (I mean at all! LOL). I don't remember what the exact range is, but I know that's right where it was supposed to be.

Giving your car a blowjob, eh? :lol

pretty much, lol
It moves a huge ammount of air so if I need to work on my car after I drive it it can cool down the motor all the way in less than 10 min on low speed and it's a lot safer than using water because water goes on unevenly and causes a lot of stress to the metal.

if it can move 6000 cubic centimeters per minute then yeah, otherwise it'll only cause resistance.

Because of my cam it averages 8 in
then when the carb drops in some fuel the mixture rises and the vaccum goes to 10 in...

It goes back and forth... for some reason it's getting worse... theidle is getting rougher... but it's to be excpected since I blast my car everywhere i go.

My gauge usually reads 21hg/in at idle. I'm running EFI as well. If I let loose of the pedal while driving, it'll jump to 25hg/in until I push the clutch in.

Well now I got curious so I went and tested mine again. Still right @ 21 at idle with no flucuations. It says normal is 17-22

I was wondering where to hook up a gauge to check my vacuum.

I have EFI btw.

Thanks
