The car high idle very high today,I look down the carb and saw gas is rushing in to the engine from secondary barrel,I'm focusing in the float is wide open but how do I check to determen the float is not closing? (The fuel level in the window is normal).

If you adjust the float screw you run the risk or breaking one or both of the O-Rings on the float screw/valve.

If your float level is normal then don't mess with the screw.

As for the high idle... did it go away once the car warmed up?

I did adjust the float screw prior to the high idle. Here is the deal I set the idle screw to zero idling but the engine still racing at 3,500rpm,If the float ring is broken would that causing that kind of idling?

"...gas is rushing in to the engine from secondary barrel.." :werd:

which is secondary barrel in ur opinion ? to the driver or front of car ?
If fuel level in the window is normal then forget about float/screw...
