new engine??

ok here the deal...i have an 89 with 228000 miles on it and a fucked head...everyone ive talked to so far has sai that my best bet would be to replace the motor with a used enine with lower miles...why is a header replacment out of the question? and about how much would it cost to get a used engine?

Depending on how bad your head is you might be better off getting a new motor, but usually you can rebuild your head or get a new headgasket.

i've found motors in my area for as cheap as $400. Call around to all your junk yards and such and see how much they want for a motor.

Actually a better alternative would be a vtec B-series engine. It's Nice and Easy, very fun to do too.. B wants YOU!!

yea im thinking of a b16 but...im loooooow on cash so it sucks not being able to have my car but knowing itll run after is a good thing to know.....
