My A/C's all dicked up right now. It won't take a charge on the low side but when the shop pumped some in on the high side ( kinda ballsy if you ask me) it took but still won't cool. Clutch engages and the fan comes on, well the condensor fan doesn't but thats another issue. It will vent out from the low side but still won't charge. They put a vaccuum on it and the system dropped to 26 psi like its supposed to and held. I'm thinkin its the expansion valve thats plugged since thats where low becomes hi (or so I think) and its overpressurizing the low side. Something has to be causing the pressure on the low side to be greater than in the can, hence the not taking a charge. ANy other ideas?
