So you think smaller is better? Hahaha

I bet your g/f likes you. ;) j/k

Well he could just relocate the optima to the trunk. I just said optima b/c it's better!

Better for what? Explain.

Oh, you know what he means. :D

Well first off Optima is better b/c it has 6 gell cells instead of the water and acid. This means there's no corrosion. And Optima can be on its side, upside down, and rightside up and it will still work. Normal battery can't do that. Has side and top terminals (so you can have more of a choice) 6 year warranty. Optima is reccommended if you have a stereo system that is really powerful or have a high performance car.

Whoops I thought he was talking about the battery for a second. Well I explained why Optima is better. Now you want me to explain the other thing?

omg why do you always start an argument mat??? j/k yeah optima is better but costs mucho dinero. Damn that makes me want to get a cai for my celica!

Well a Die Hard battery is $90

Optima is $138 after 7% tax

Can't remember what interstate was. (I used to have an interstate and it sucked compared to my optima)

Well he has neither!

So just because he doesn't have either one doesn't mean Optima isn't better. Is that your only arguement? And that doesn't mean he won't get a system or high performance car either.

the intake is from a 93 prelude. it was a cold air aem. my friend john ordered one and they sent him 2 for some reason so i picked that one up from him for 60 bucks. at the time i didnt think that i could make the cold air work, so i just cut most of it off and made it a short ram. i gave the rest of the pipe to my friend with a 95 wrangler 4cyl and he also cut the remainder of the pipe and made a short ram with it as well. well lately ive been seeing people making cais for their 3geez and i figured it was time for me to do it too so i picked up the other 2 pieces and made a few cuts to line it up right then i bought some pipe couplings in the plumbing section of home depot and put it all together. i took out the battery tray and had to make a few cuts to get clearance to fit the pipe down into that hole. i bored the hole out with a dremel tool. the hardest part of this was fitting the pipe between the battery and the fuse box. i dont know if any of you care about this but i wrote it anyway. any questions feel free to ask. seeyall oh and the filter is beat up cuz the hood shutting on it when it was a short ram, so thats why its all crunched up. i dont think i will be getting a new one anytime soon.

yeah man that looks like you are gettin some air pushin through that sucker. Can you tell a difference in power and can you hear the throaty sound?

ryan88lxi
08-19-2003, 08:33 AM
i can most cerainly tell the difference in power, it pulls much harder from 4000 to 6500. it is deeper now because it i in the little place ther, not so high pitched anymore, i like it better now. thanks for the good comments by the way guys

how much did all this cost ya? I think the short ram part of that intake will work on my celica. the problem with mine is that the throttle body is on the front pass. side of the motor so I could flip that piece over and run it that way. hmmmmmm might just do that!

well i had all the piping for it like i said, other than that i paid 8 bucks for those two plumbing coupling from home depot, so i guess total it was 68 bucks
