I am intrested in getting a "faster" engine in my 89 LXi coupe. The one in there has 225,000 miles on it but still going strong w/ regular matinence. Would it be foollish to swap? If i did how much $$$$ is involved, where would i get the faster engine from, & what other parts would be needed besides the engine?

ok heres a little run down and the most popular honda swap engine
B16A1
Engine, Tranny, ECU, Wire harness can be had for anywhere from $1000-1500
Next you will need:
Placeracing mount kit $650
Placeracing axles $400 for both come with boots etc
Placeracing Shift Linkage $150
Those are the BASIC stuff you need to make the engine run. Placeracing also offers other accessories to allow you to use your A/C and P/S at extra costs.
All of the PRI stuff can be custom made but I dont know at what costs. Hope that helps.

I've got the same problem. I want a new engine, no racing stuff, (yet) just one that will be dependable and run right. I want to start all over from the block and also convert to fuel injection. Can anyone help?
