Help I have a problem. Tonight when I was pulling out of my work parking lot. I went to shift into second and I hear this metal breaknig grinding sound. I pull over to the side of the road and get out. Looked behind me and see liquid. There was a metal scrape in the road. 1in. x 1in. there was a little metal washer thing (/\ gets taller in middle) There was also gear type thing 10 teeth on it. about a inch across and about a half inch tall.

I don't know a whole lot about that stuff either...but is there anything dragging under your car that could cause the scrape in the road? Try and get that camera up and running, and I'm sure people could help you man.

And you'll still make it to the meet...I'll get you myself if that's what it comes down to :)

Yeah there wan't anything in the road that would have hurt it. My car is still 4 wheel drive. lol.
When I got into the parking lot I felt a little slip. I don't know hard to explain but I have talk with a few friends and it might be the tranny. Don't know for sure. Does anyone know how much a new tranny is?

Sounds like you killed your tranny. Time for a new one? Junk yard? There is a honda only place in Tacoma. I th ink there is one in P-Town too. How many miles did the car have on it? were you having any other problems with shifting?

just turrned over to 100,000 miles. It was a not a smooth as it use to be sometimes. And sometimes would click or knock into gear.

It's a tranny-related problem, man. There are two rods that go to the tranny, you might wanna check them. When my lower rod (don't know what it's called) came loose (detached) the car was in neutral and I could not shift it into gear at all. Mine wasn't leaking though. Well, good luck.

Shit Matt that fucking suck. I have never seen something like that before. Parts of your tranny just start falling apart. If you need any help with the new tranny cause it sounds like you will need one I will help you out with the install. There is a local yard around here that has 4 3gs sitting there. One of them has to have a manual tranny. Sorry bro.

I'd help you out, but you're a bit far south. Let me know how it all goes... I'm really interested in seeing what's happening.
