Well, thats all, I miss the car but my new car is making up for it. Thanks for all the help along the way!

(PS: Why do I only have like 100 posts? I had 800 on the old board.)

are those hubcaps or rims in the third pic?
also was that the factory paint? because it looked mint.

Those are 97 Civic Hubcaps spraypainted black in picture #3. I thought they looked better than the broke-ass stock caps. Especially for $5.

80% of the car was original paint (Seattle Silver Metallic with CC). You can see in picture #5 where the rear quarter panel & door were painted after a minor accident. Other than that the paint was awsome. IT had always been garaged and waxed on a normal basis. The best factory honda paint I've seen for the age, especially with all the salt this thing has seen over the years here in Ohio.

No all I have left from the car is the stock suspension. I gave the guy everything, the back seat was down and this thing was filled to the brim.

Yeah the guy I bought the Jetta from is a cool guy. Small world indeed.

For $2000 he got a car with 138K, stock wheels & Teg wheels, 2-10" subs, a few amps, extra plug wires, and lots of misc stock parts.

I wish mine came with that much for $2K. Mine had beat paint, rusted body, leaking interior, stained carpet with a rip, worn out front seats, 140K mi., both half shafts needing replacement, brown antifreeze, and one beat spark plug wire which caused a emissions failure, and a totally worthless HU with four blown speakers. If I could find a deal like that I would sell mine for 1500 and be much happier.

In fact just to show how overpriced honda's are around here I saw a 89 accord lx-i for sale for $2500. It had beat paint, sun baked interior, rusted 1/4 panels, 184k mi., and was an automatic. I couldn't believe the price! I want to call him up and tell him I'll give him 1200 just to burst his bubble. But I bet it will sell within a month just because running un-mollested honda's with fuel injection around here are hard to come by under $4000.

89accordhb,

Are you still working up at the camera store? Since the last time we talked, I have moved to Cincinnati. Maybe we can hook up some time. I remember when we did the Prelude suspension swap on your car. PM me if you are interested in hooking up.

Chris

PS. Here is another pic you might remember

Chris, I'm actually not working there anymore. I'm working at G.E. up in Tri-County now.

Hows the new German ride?
