Are 86 guage lights dimmer than 88 style?

On my 86, the guage lights are a lot dimmer than on my mom's 88. I was wondering if maybe the 86 style were in fact dimmer, or if it's just my car. Yes, I know you can adjust the intensity, and mine's all the way up. It bugs me, so I had to ask!

try new bulbs or take the condom things off of the light bulbs behind the gauges.


I took the condom things off my bulbs, and installed blue lightbulbs instead.
