Good morning guys. Since I still have the chugging/miss, I checked the ohms on the new plug wires that I put on. They are 7mm bosch wires. I found that 3 of the wires range between 1100-1200 ohms. The fourth read 2800 ohms. Does that mean that the fourth wire is bad and is it 2800 or 28 thousand? The coil wire was 850 ohms. Thanks in advance for your help.

According to Honda the wires should not exceed 25,000 ohms. I have heard people check wires by misting them with water and running engine at night and look for sparks running down wire. If you see that the wire insulation is breaking down.

Thanks Mac. Then the other wires at 11k-12K and the one wire reading 28K is bad. The wires are new so I'm going to have to take them back and get new ones. I'll see if that solves the problem. Is the reading of 11k-12k appropriate for the wires? Thanks.

The ohms reading will vary depending on the brand of wires you use. Stock wires will have a high resistance when new, but aftermarket ones can be as low as 50 ohms per foot. The one wire reading at 28k ohms obviously has something wrong with it. It could be a bad wire or the connectors at the ends aren't crimped properly. Either way, I would take it back. If you want to save yourself a third trip to the store, take your meter with you, and test them at the parts counter.
