Alright i did a search and couldnt find what i was lookin for. My question is why does my car on cold nights (60 degrees) idel around 800 and on Hot days (90) idel about 1200 and sometimes more? Is there something i can do to fix this or is it some normal. I know for fact that my ga pedal sticks but only on hot day and why not cold.

89 FI 4 door lx-i stock

And another question while im here. My power windows go down very slow on cold days also. wtf is the problem.

This problem is easy to fix.
1) Get 8 vacumn lines
2) Get carb cleaner
3) Get a new air filter
4) And last but no least get a new engine thats not a POS carb.
5) If your idle is still messed up it might be your fuel filter.

I hope I helped.

hey babboy reread his post, his car is an 89 FI 4-door. so he doesn't need carb cleaner or a new engine that's not a carb. helps to fully read a post. FI= Fuel Injected, so that means he doesn't have a carbed engine. if i sound like i'm being a bit of a jerk in this reply, i don't care. you can tell he obviously didn't read the original post fully. also babboyyawdie how can you talk about carbs like that when your car is one? 86 accord lx is carbed, unless of course you've done the conversion to FI.

Try adjusting your idle screw... look for a flathead screw up on the left side of your EACV, next to where a vacuum line runs... I played around with it while my car was runnig and now usually holds the same speed idle year-round... except when those damn injectors fail every once in a while

what causes the gas pedal to stick? my car has that problem as well. it happens on hot days and cold days, but when it's in like the 70's it's fine. is there something i can do to keep it from doing that?
