i have a problem. i am currently doing an engine swap from an 86 to an 89. the current problems are the 2 remaining bolts that attach the exaust manifold to the exaust pipe. there were 3 nuts holding it on. one snapped off, the other 2 are stripped. i am trying a nut splitter but i am not too hopeful. any other suggestions on thow to handle this?

grinder is the only way out of this mess.

vice grips for the stripped ones.

they are stripped and rusted. a 6 foot prybar, and liquid wrench couldnt sem to do it. i dont see how vice grips will work can you elaborate?

well im grinding away at them, but i dont think i can do anything without completely cutting the bolt and nut off, is there a way to replace the studs coming out of the manifold? or do i need a new one? or... should i just cut the exaust pipe. that would probably be alot cheaper.
