All right, here is my deal. I've had a couple of additional expenses come up in the last couple of weeks and though I have the $ to change my timing belt and water pump it would REALLY be nice to wait a couple of months. Here is what I know. My car was give then dealership "60,000" maintenance in '95 in Belgium. The previous owner is still looking to see if he can find those records. I was reading from Drivewire.com that ". These are all extended-life belts with recommended replacement interval of 90,000 miles under NORMAL operating conditions. I also took a look at the belt and it looks in GREAT shape! I can see all the lettering and it looks like it's had a couple of rotations, but other than that, no cracks or any other bad signs.

Anyway if driverwire is right, and it was done just at 60,000miles, I should have another 10,000 miles or so before I have to do it right?

Yea the genuine Honda belts last 90k miles, and the aftermarket ones last 60k, so you should be good to go for a little while longer. I wouldn't go too much past 90k though.

I've got 63k on my aftermarket belt right now. I'm planning on changing that soon with an OEM one

Yeah, well I found that www.drivewire.com sells the OEM "HONDA" belts for $27-28. So I'm gonna pick up one of those, but I am hoping that I am safe for another month to six months.

It should be the one in the upper right hand corner with dark red lettering on it.
