Interest in CF hood and fenders w/vents

OK guys, I found a company that can custom fabricate CF to anything interior/exterior. So far I sent them an e-mail to get their info on pricings. they are always looking for products to add to their line, so I figured lets see what they can do with a CF hood and fender with vents. I'll try and see if we can get the CF for the flip-up covers.

Start putting in your interest in them so I can see if we can get a discounted group buy. The more people interested, the better.

The fit and quality will have to be the most important thing though.

I think the flip covers would be a real good start, especially for those that already have the c/f hood, and want the covers too.

Can you ask them if they're willing to custom fab a c/f hood with hood-scoops? That's one c/f hood that many people have asked about.

Oh by the way, I check the internet about the ebay CF hoods and stuff. Have alot of hate sites for those CF products, sayin things like melting (probably pastic core or no brace: warp-age), cracks easily, and too heavy. stuff like that. Im just checkin with all different companys for the best quality CF.

I believe that the other company is called www.aitracing.com. Not sure of their quality or how much shipping would add to their $300 pricetag.

OK guys I talked to him, whoever wants interior parts, they can make them, so exterior parts they will not do cause they are already out on the market. so people help look for these items, no e-bays cause i have been hearing lots of things about them saying that their product isnt genuine and stuff like that.

So people, whoever wants interior items CF'ed, list them to me and I can relay it to him for the parts and see what he says, then we will do a new thread for interest in those items.

So, START LISTING THE INTERIOR ITEMS YOU WANT CF'ed :lol j/k, but yeah you want them, you list them

Or you can PM me either way the list is gonna be exposed and called out for interest.

The higher the interest for the item, the better.
Any items low in interest will be excluded, but will ask about those items anyways

General Question: why do people want cf trunk lids??? that makes no sense to me. Our trunk lids are light enough as it is!

hey jlaccord89lxi, the one i was talkin about was with vent's on the hood, but unfortunately the guy at the company says only interior parts now. he also says that there are exteror parts (i.e. hoods, fenders, and trunk lids) out there. so now what i am doin is getting a list from everyone who wants interior parts CF'ed and sendin it to him. other than that I am having some guys on here lookin for the CF hoods w/vents (if any), fenders, and trunk lids.

hood with vents would be nice but i think the flip-up covers are a good start so more people would buy them since it should be cheaper and then they might be interested and make more products for us

yeah, now i just saw this thread finally. ive been thinkin about different things for the 3gee that would make it look pretty good and be functional for light weight parts.
Hood
Flip up covers to match hood
Trunk lid
Fenders
Grille kit
Mirrors
Door handles are a maybe
Various interior pieces in console, gauges, door trim, rear view mirror
Valve covers
Emblems for make, model and trim level
Speaker grille parts that are plastic
3rd brake light
Tail lights
License Plate thing thats is on the trunk
Shift Knob, but real carbon fiber not plastic
well just wanted to make a list, so theres some ideas. i think those are good, you may not. but here what ive been thinking.

hehe, try and keep some of it performace, I don't think most people would want a carbon fiber 3rd brake light, I say Fenders, pop-up covers, and trunk lid maybe (without trunk lights, for a coupe hehe)

They would match the CF hood better then stock, unless you plan on painting the hood.

Maybe there is resistance in the trunk as the trunk lid is NOT 50lbs.



Anyways, let everyone do whatever they want to their cars. It may be an eyesore to us but hey someone finds it beautiful so let it be.



As far as CF hood, I wouldn't mind the CF popup headlights covers too. That would make it look very interesting.

Trunklid seems more comestic that anything else. I would want to remove more weight in the front to try and gain a 50-50 weight.
