Hey ya'll, just wanted to introduce myself to the board. I picked up a nice champagne colored 1989 Accord LX for wife for $1500 a couple weeks ago. It has over 200k on it, but the body and interior was clean, the A/C ran cold, and the engine seems solid. If the engine goes, I may have to swap in a Prelude engine (the 140 hp one) or something :D

This is our first Honda, and for an 89, it's a great car. It's carbourated, so it's a bit getting used to.

I drive a 98 Nissan 200SX SE-R, the Honda is hers...

So far we are planning to tint the windows and have already put a nice Pioneer Premier DEH-P250 in place of the stock deck. Anybody need a 89 Honda Accord LX tape deck?

Welcome to the board. Lots of info available.

I'm suprised nobody has mentioned this yet, but you won't be able to swap in a prelude motor into your 3g. Lots of info on this board on which motor you can swap in, it just depends on how much money you want to spend.

You are correct - I was thinking of the B20A...

The B20A is from a prelude, 87-91 I believe. The H22/23 is from the newer ones. You can also put an integra engine in there as well, B16, or B18.

*edit*

BTW, I practically live in Mariettia as well... ! How far are you from I-75 at Barret Parkway?
