EGR tube

How do I get an EGR tube. Mine broke or rusted apart where it is screwed into the exhaust manifold. No auto part stores have one and the dealer said it will be hard for them to find one. I thought I had a bad exhaust manifold gasket or flange. Could I use a generic piece of tubing.

Why does it have to be so complicated to get parts. When something breaks I spend a week hunting for parts. I spent 3 days looking for 8mm 1.25 nuts

Junkyards for the EGR tube. Or a pressurized peice of generic tubing. Those nuts are in auto parts stores, usually near the paint. Lock-Tite or something.

Napa usually has a 2 metal boxes with about 3 rows of drawers containing bolts. one side is standard and the other is metric.

Junkyards for both the hose and bolts. Then, you get the nice flanged bolts (and nuts for that matter) instead of the parts store generic crap.
