Does anyone know what 3geez came with dead pedals? I'm referring to the foot rest.

From what I saw in the junkyard yesterday, looks like 88/89 LXi/SEi item.

Do all 3geez have the mounts/nuts installed so this would be a simple bolt in swap or do I get to drill holes? I guess I should just go pull up the carpet and see.

i believe it was a higher end option, but it should be installable on any model. If not, it wouldn't be hard to make it fit.

my 88 LX-i has one, might go check on Majestic Honda's omline catalog http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com, its a good place to look for breakdowns of what goes where to get an idea of how much works involved

Actually, I'm thinking only the automatics came with dead pedals? Could I be wrong?

You are on to something. I am thinking the same thing as well because the clutch would normal be where the deap pedal rests.

Anyone beg to differ?

Actually, I was incorrect. The pedal sits farther to the left and is available on 5-spds as well.

I saw it on 2 88-89 5sp LXi. Those were all I checked/noticed. Will pull up the carpet this week sometime and see.

You know I'm gonna differ but never beg. They came on 5 speeds mine has one, its all the way to the left close to the kickpanel. Like I said Majestics the best bet to find out what years and models but as far as I can tell there site's down

My 87 Lx auto does not have one... I think I will be visiting a J/Y very soon... :) My dad's 98 Accord Ex auto does have one... It must be a Lx-i / Se-i thing...

My Lx (Canadian DX) does not have the deadpedal. I wanted to install one but I would have to weld the mounts to the floor... which I don't want to. I guess I'm stuck without the footrest.

The footrest assembly is $25.56 at majestic and it looks like thats for the bracket. pad and cover

So there are pre-drilled holes in the floorboard for this?

I dunno about predrilled holes, looking at the picture it just shows the bracket with no attatching hardware, I'll look at mine and let ya know when I get finished changing an engine on a plane in Moultrie, if I remember by then. Oh and hey wheres those pics I asked ya for :sadwave:

if ur talkin about the thingy on the left of the clutch, than my lxi has one. as far as i know, it is a piece of metal that a rubber cover slides on to.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the 88-89 LX sedan models that did not come from the factory with preinstalled dead pedals that are automatics do not have pre drilled floor holes for the dead pedal. I installed a dead pedal in my car but had to drill the holes myself and used high strength epoxy on the holes. Mine is a tad loose now but has held up well for the last 2 years.

I think I found that one out on my own a day or so earlier.

Read what I posted, "Actually, I was incorrect. The pedal sits farther to the left and is available on 5-spds as well".

I corrected myself, but anyways...

My 87 LX did not have holes pre-drilled or nuts. So I drilled holes and put the pedal in with some sheet metal screws I had in my stash.
