Made for specific applications this model # SG226001 fits the TRUNK/HATCH of 1986-1989 Honda Accord cars

made for the hatch on a 3g. you'd have to do some custom fab work to make them lift your hood.....

Well shit I would have a crap load of post if I haven't been working 24/7. I might have been on the computer for 12hrs for the past month. Usally it is 3-5hrs a day. With the shox you would need to fab some brackets for it to work but I put it there cause of the price. Those are most likely too big, but the new Ford trucks have the hood lifts on them.

I was going to do a mod like that. I would have gotten my pieces for free however, and would have done it myself, but right now, I only have one lift support, and need another somewheres.

I'm in the process of putting one in the trunk...damn thing is always smacking my head!!! And it's really heavy w/the Dynamat!! I had to go buy a drill so I wouldn't waste any more Dremel bits trying to make things fit. I just hope it works. I'm also gonna put on on the hood :)

I was thinking about the doors as well. I can't stand the CLICKING as I open and shut my door. Also, the pin keeps popping out of the hole. This would obviously be a bit more of a custom project.

The doors would be a trick to do. :)

Yeah, I think it'll be kinda a pain. But they make those pistons with flat heads, so it's very possible to do. the only problem I think would be making the bracket inside the door. We'll see if I actually follow through though!! :D

Well it will be pretty sweet if you do it.

Ya, I'm thinking I might try to do my hood and trunk.

I just need to figure out which ones I need to get.

Why don't you make 'em pop-up doors while your at it. Ya know, a la Delorian:D

Scissor lift doors. That would be a little tough. That would have to be a total custom job and I don't know to many people that could pull it off. I wouldn't.

I would think a Honda dealer would cary these shocks if I am correct. If I can pick me up another one, I'll get right on this project and post a how to and everything.
