My friend has a 94 Accord and wants to get 6x9s for the back and 6 1/2 for the fronts. He is a quality freak so needs the top of the line speakers.. could you guys recommend some good speakers. The reciever he is planning to install is either the Alpine CDA-9813 or the Alpine CDA-9815.

Thanx
Imran

I'm a MB Quart or Boston acoustic fan myself. What it will boil down to will be what price range he needs to be in, thats normally the most important issue and secondly what will fit in his car with little or no modifications. Some speakers may require install kits or cutting due to mounting depth or tweater and midrange extension above the speaker

He is willing to shell out about 200 bucks for the speakers in the rear that is the 6x9s, and about the same for the 6 1/2 for the front..

Might even want to look into going with a straight 6 1/2 in the back with an adapter plate. I've never been a big fan of odd shaped speaker (6x9, 4x10, 5x7 etc) also might want to look into seperates, once again depending on what fits the range. Sorry I can't give any specifics, just ideas. The last true system I did had 4 mb quart 5 1/4's 3 JL Audio 12W6's, PPI A600 and PPI A404 and clarion pro audio head, eq, and changer. As far as now adays, I'm 32 and 6 1/2 pioneers in the door and 6x9 Pioneers work for me

I am a HUGE fan of MB Quart, in fact every speaker in my car is MB Quart including my sub. The new MB Quart Reference Series 6x9's that I just got were $500.00 I believe. And the MB Quart Reference Series 6 1/2 Reference Series are around $250.00

I wouldnt recommend the Discus Series because the quality isnt the best and the power handling isnt great either. GO with the REFERENCE SERIES.

hey im all about the blinging of the 3 geez, but when your 6x9s are worth more than the whole car.... Just get some decent pioneers.

MB quarts are really good, But if he can afford it, tell him to look at some Focal speakers. I have never heard better sounding speakers in my life. They rock, but can put a nice hole in your wallet.

friend has boston acoustics, sounded good, other has infinty kapps, sounded ok, but i like my cadence's, with the high freq wire up option or full freq, when wired on high it only responds from 90hz-20khz, crazy clears with a 7 volt EQ on them
