one-touch power window switches

Anybody ever wire up all the power windows in their 3g to be one touch - like the driver's window? It doesn't look too hard to grab some junkyard switches and adapt them.

Hmmmm.... never thought of that, much like BMW's method.

i've thought about doing that. It would be pretty nice. I'm gonna get myself a 5 finger discount next time i go out to the junk yard.

I always thought it was a pain in the ass to hold the switch down. I mean, you push it down, DUH, you want the window down.

My junkyards check boxes - but they don't check pockets. Bulbs and bolts always get the discount.

i'm i was looking at my manual and it look's like when you also switch the driver swich up it goes up all by itself
is this tru??????

No, at least mine doesnt go back up by itself. Although it would be nice.

I think I will definately get some of the drivers switches next time I'm at the pick your part. There always seem to be so many 3g's.

3g windows don't go up by themselves.

if my windows went up and down automatically, it would piss me off uz when i smoke, i put the window down a little, the only way to stop it is to press up, which would shut the window making the only way to have my window down a little would be to shut the car off, when the window is going down and rhen restart it.

mine doesn't go up automatically, i wish it did though so that everytime i get somewhere i dont' have to sit there for 15 sec. waiting for the windows to get up. It would be nice to have the passenger side window go down all the way with a click of the button. Its very convienant(sp?).

LightbulbLXi - you're switches must be different than mine. My 87 LX driver's window switch basically has 2 down detents - the first works like all the rest - hold it until the window is where you want it, then let go. The second detent sends the window all the way down in fire and forget mode. Push the switch all the way down and the window goes all the way down.
