Ok....It's summer time and we all talking about A/C. I know our the A/C in our cars is not that strong. I'm wondering how cold air blows from your car. Mine cycles between 45F-50F when outside is around 88 in full fan speed and REC position when crusing on interstate. What about yours?

Mine's about the same and it is a perfectly functioning, relatively new, R12 system.

That depends a lot on the humidity! Beleive it
or not, here in Vegas at full speed (good condensor cooling),
fresh ouside air in at 105F now and at the vents I get 45F!
(very old R-12!). That is 60F difference! - but the humidity
is only 12%. I do not get it like that very day, though...

The humidity factor is very true. Here, the humidity has been around 50% for quite a while. Definitely when humidity goes up, cooling efficiency goes down.

Around here, it might be only 80 degrees outside but the humidity is at like 70% which means that the dew point is only like 5-10 degrees colder at this temperature. When it is that humid, my vents actually blow white smoke because of the humidity. We never seem to have a dry heat here in the summertime. It always seems to be very humid.

I know this is totally off topic, but finally! Someone else from Vegas is on this board!
