Ive been told that you can remove the ac belt for added power? Is this true and how would i go about doing that?

you can do one of 2 things, you can get under the car and loosen the adjuting bolts and remove it that way........or if you are sure ya don't want A/C and don't care about a belt just cut the damn thing off. As far as power its not going to be really noticeable, wasn't to me from when mine was off and now that its on. The only time you really loose power through the A/C belt is when your a/c is running and the clutch in engaged, upto you. Hope that helped ya

Well, if ya don't care about AC, just remove it all. Trust me I feel a huge difference driving my DX with no AC and no added weight from other options, compared to an LX.

i took my belt off cause the ac was making me sick and theres really no point n it being there. I would have removed the whole ac system for less weight, but incase i ever sell the car, it will be much easier to get a new belt and slap it on there.
