This is what im talking about: http://www.torquewind.tk/

Im looking for some small mods to do to my 88 lxi. I keep seeing these things and i wondered if anyone had tried one. Logically one of these fans cramming air into your engine should work. I have seen ones that claim to add 1lb of boost but they draw 40 amps, and the stock alt only puts out 65, so you would actually gain little to no hp or even lose it. Would one with a lower draw work? Or would a CAI be about the same?

Any suggestions of what to do to the car? Minus catback exhaust
and a minor clutch upgrade it's stock for now.

150 CFM is way too low. You'd need around 900 CFM

It has not been professionally tested by an independent service. They don't, as A20AI, have enough of a difference ot make it even noticeable. There is a website, something like homemadeturbo.com or something, where the guy tested it.

Hell no, those go on ebay all the time as an "electric supercharger". It is complete and total B.S., Unless you want to make some messed up noises.
Here is a good discussion on them. http://www.crxsi.com/resources/classified/ads/2789.htm
