I posted a thread about the car having oil all over the front hood, a few days ago. Got it towed to the house two nights ago.
290,000 kms.
Had it towed to my house the other night. The battery was dead after the hazards were left on for a day. Put my battery in it to start it up. Started fine, but ran REALLY rough. About 5 seconds later the engine made a dull yet quite loud (very impressive indeed), BANG and immediate shut down. Go to crank again, and the started clunked. The motor was seized up real well.
I hear a gurggling and look under the car. Oil is draining out the drain plug, and it isn't thick at all. Collected what was coming out with a Tim's cup, and realize it's probably coolant (brown, like the coolant in the car and had white scale on it).
By by 2.0L Honda motor. Good news is, I stripped the car of trail-lights and hood (perfect condition!).
Goes to the wreckers tonight. Ahh well. $100 car.
