for a while, my car would not start when it got hot, the whole time i thought it was the fuel injectors, but eventually i found out it was the fuel pump, because i dont hear the fuel pump go off when i put the car to on, now im starting to get worried, i replaced 2 fuel pumps and i was wondering if all 3rd gen accord are like this, because i read so many post about the accord having problem because of fuel issues, and is there a way to correct all of this.

You might take a look at my post "Starting Problems with LXi." See if my description is similar to your problem because, now that I think about it, I am only having this problem at the end of the day when it is hot inside the car.

I am pretty sure my problem is the main relay that is under the dash, near the fuse block. Once I replace it, I will let you know if it solves the problem.

Later!

It's not uncommon for those relays to go out when they get hot. That's usually the complaint we get at my shop when a relay goes out. Temperatures do some wierd shit to electrical components.

long cranking might also be a faulty starter, faulty radio condensor, loose or corroded ground. How much amps is ur battery putting out?

i think im goin to have to replace the battery soon, it died on me serveral times because i left my light on for the whole nite. kinda stupid...i was clicking left then i accidently pushed the thing up one level so that turned on the light, but i didnt notice it till the next day...and it died other times when me and my friend was working on the car.

hey xaccord, You should get "TORNADO" once you get all of your fuel problems fixed. One of the reasons why you have a prob might be because your system isnt getting a good flow of gas. Or you could have some dirty stuff in there. You should try some fuel injector.
