Hey this morning i was starting my car like normal (let it warm up a bit) and then i backed out of my spot and when i went forward the car would idle forward at 10mph but no matter how much i pressed the gas nothing would happen and i would not gain any speed. When its in park or nuetral it idles very high at 3thousand rpm's and somthing is really worng i guess. i think its the fuel pump i mean it has to be right?

you can check the fuel pump, but i don't think it is the problem.
check your vacuum lines.

Warm up the car drive it around for a while then quickly unscrew the dipstick from the trans and then whipe it down and rest it back in its hole as far as it will go without actually screwing it back in any. Pull it back out and check the fluid level... do this three times then screw the dipstick back in. the fluid should be between the 2 X's

Sound like your trans ,,,maybe the lockup 4th gear solinoid is stuck. You could just for the hell of it disconnect some electrical plugs to trans just for a quick test then test drive.:pimp:

slow down there... :D The TV cable is to the right of the transmission dipsick... it hooks onto a little lever and runs to either:
the throttle linlkage from behind the carb
or
the firewall and then to the pedal assembly.
