Had some time today so I thought I'd play with it a little bit. It fits on there perfectly and looks right, but the only problems is where to bolt it down at. I'll have to find my own way to bolt it on, right now it's being held on by 3 zip ties. Here's a couple pics

Cut that off with my dremel and now I will have to fill it in with fiberglass. Other than that, it slid right on.

Like I said, it's only held on by 3 zip ties so it won't stay ligned up like I want it to. Tomorrow night it should be done, so I'll be sure to have pics up sunday morning.

hmm If you're looking for one, check out www.g2ic.com (90-93 teg board) and you can find them on there for like $75 bucks for a used one, lots of NW sellers too.

kicker, can I see a better close-up shot of the corner of the kit? Ive seen a few 2gteg bumpers on 3G's so far, and every one I've seen the corner lights overhang the bumper just on the corner, but it doesn't look like it's doing that on yours. Def. the best 2Gteg front I've seen so far. Good luck with the project.

As for the blinker issue, why not install side markers on the fender, shave the whole corner lens' off and build a solid sheet to fill where the corner was. Then just install a small lens/housing in the front bumper in the top slot on each side.

I think that would look sick as hell if you did it that way. Oh well, just IMO.

Wow, that really does look better than the other ones that Ive seen. It doesnt look like the corner lights overlap at all. MORE PICS!!! lol...

The blinkers corner lenses were a big concern of mine, I did not want them to hang over at all. So I was planning on shaving them and putting a side marker down on the fender, but once I got it on and looked at it I had second thoughts cause it's not that bad. I'd rather do as little body work as possible right now, but I might shave them later. I need a new driver's side fender, so maybe I'll do it after I get that.

And I'll get a pic with the lights down after I cut a little more on it. I need to cut out a little bit on each side so the lights will go down. They will go down right now, but I can't have the light covers on. So I'll cut it a bit, get the light covers on, and then get some pics.

But for the lights to go down with the light covers on, I will need to cut a little more. I found that bumper on www.g2ic.com in the classifieds section. A guy that lives about 4 hours from me had it for sale for $100. I had some door panels that he wanted so I met him half way and gave him the door panels and $30 for the bumper. Drove it home with it hanging out my window. :D

Great new guys. I found a guy that has an extra rear bumper from his 4th gen accord and it's a black widow, the exact one that I want. It's just sitting in his backyard, never even been painted. He wants it gone so he said he'd give it to me for $10 plus shipping, awesome deal.

Anyways, I'm off to the shop, pics when I get back.

Hey bro! that's the same bumper i got. yeah it does fit good and it looks nice so far. i had to make custom brackets to hold it up on there. good thing the bodyshop is next to a metal fabricating shop. oh, don't worry about the blinkers...the sidemarkers are blinkers too. those are good enough for me. i like a clean look for the front. nice to see your project going well. mine is almost done also. just a week or so more to go. :super:

HostileJava

I took apart the old bumper mount, I had to remove some peice from it and then I bolted it back on. I now need to prop it up a bit and make some new bolt holes for steel plates and washers, I'll take pics of the progress and post them when I'm done. I think this is alot easier to do then worrying about molding the kit to fit. I had to make a few cuts and things but almost all of the cuts and brackets and everthing will be hidden so they don't need to look perfect.

kicker1_solo & hostilejava:

Either of you guys think that if you get the metal bumper off a teg and mount it to the Accord you might not have to do all these custom brackets?

If you could just use the metal bumper frame itself then the kit would bolt up cause all the wholes would be in the right place. Plus you could use the 90-93 teg bumper turm signals instead of trying to adapt the Accord ones to the teg bumper cover.

It might be less work too on just modyfing to the bumper mounts instead of all these bumper cover mounting points.

Just an idea I wanted to throw out there to you guys to see if it would work.:)

custom bracketts? like was previously stated why not just drill holes in the bumper. to fix the gap in the grill you should get down with fiberglass. use a piece of cardboard to make a sturdy prop to give the fiberglass sheets form. i dont think you need to make bracketts, just drill new holes from the bumper into the fender. i dont see a problem with zipties holding the bumper on. most japanese drift cars bumpers are held on with zipties to minimize damage. so the bumper falls off preventing cracking and further damage. if you have a question about fiber glass i have a write up on it for ya. contact me on aim: chrysler 0kid or pm. i dont really check this site much tho

So eat my ass and stop dissing on other people's cars until you get a nicer car, or even get a car. :D

Half of the tread on the tire goes that way, on the other side it goes the opposite way, they're non directional....
