that my friend is what most would call a n00b trying to post a link, you can pick one of those up on any forum, pretty easy to come by too.

:stick: I already did it for you above. You just kind of have to take out the bullshit that doesnt belong there. The first thing that should be in the URL is http:// , And the last thing that should be in the URL should be .jpg

You originally had this java script:ShowImage('http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/show_image.pl?migration=1&image=http://images.cardomain.com/member_images/9/web/429000-429999/429518_14_full.jpg', 575, 431)

And you did the right thing with the [img] tags. But all I did was just put the address http://images.cardomain.com/member_images/9/web/429000-429999/429518_14_full.jpg surrounded by the [img] tags. Got it?

Dont put any of that Javascript in there either.

Thanks 2old. I just wanted to know! I am having the engine sent to a precision auto shop to be honed and the rebuild kit put in. In the mean time the head is getting P&P'ed. The guy was asking me questions about the valves. What should I do?

Yeah, he asked about the valve grind and if I wanted a specific one. I just wanted to know if ne1 had their's done and what they chose.

the JS is a call to a function that is probably defined somewhere on the page you copied that from, but definitely NOT defined anywhere on 3geez :) life is a learning experience

those LOOK LIKE honda rod bearings!

Dont scratch or pit them...they are worth 30 bucks in the plastic and priceless in the engine!

oh.....sorry but I gotta say this dude...if you dont know what those were...please dont attempt to install them!

I'm not, I am having a precision engine shop hone and rebuild the engine. Its only gonna cost about $150:super: Right now i'm trying to raise some money to have the port and polish done.

ok thats cool!

Didnt mean to offend you but for real....if you didnt know what those were I'd question if you should rebuild an engine!

IMO porting and polishing is useless. I did it to my head ...actually I have done 4 heads in total but the one I did for myself was useless.

1) it took me 48 hours to do
2) I lost quite a bit of low end torque
3) The top end gains were so little they were hard to notice while driving the car
4) Turbo would be WAY more usefull than porting and polishing

well shit, that means I have a couple extra hundred $'s to throw towards Sean's turbo.:super: When u did ur P&P, did u do ne thing to the valves?

BootMachine

turbo would be way more usefull than porting and polishing!

Seriously...it took me 48 hours of grinding over two weeks...like 5 hours a night and the gains were soooooo dissapointing!

You're totally wrong! Evidentally you didn't do it right. You see when most people do the P&P jobs themselves or have amatures do it for them it will usually be wrong b/c of this. Most people when they do it they think the more metal I remove the better and I will get more hp gains. This is opposite of what a good P&P job is. And I can tell you did it this way b/c of what you described in the 1-4 list.

P&P jobs either work great or work like shit. The best way to do it is to just smooth everything out and to not have any sharp edges inside that would affect the airflow.

I know all of this b/c I just learned it myself and my instructor just told us that if you just start boring metal out and making everything bigger you will lose your low end torque and you will gain only minimal high end.

And did you have an airflow bench? And all the proper tools?

I'm not saying any of this to be mean, I'm just saying it b/c I know how to do it and what happens when someone does it wrong.
