OK I have a dc sport header coming to my house here is my question. I knowpacesetter gaskets suck but do dc sports gaskets suck because I want to know If I should get more before I put the header on.

Mine came with a really nice gasket, your set man, no worries.

my dc sports header came with stock honda gaskets.

the gaskets at the exhaust manifold should be the same b/n DX/LX and LXi models.

the 2 gasket rings at the beginning of the collector and the 1 gasket ring where it meets the cat, i just matched it with 1988 LXi model at Honda, and they fit fine.

go to HONDA and ask for a new exhaust manifold gasket....you should have NO problem with the stock one!

woh woh woh .....wait....hold a sec here...

STOCK GASKET comes with the mani??!!?!?!

But the DC manifold claims it has more flow and adds top end power....which means that the ports are larger than the stock mani....which means that if you use the stock gasket it will restrict flow unless you shave it.....

....and WTF....you need to port match that new mani too!

I didn't notice anything like that when I was put my dc header on like 5 days ago. a gasket couldn't really restric flow anyways because it would break if it were in the way of anything

umm.... boot? a "mani" and a header are totally different.. you dont need bigger ports to make more power

Well headers are actually an exhaust manifold, and there is the intake manifold as well. So really the headers could be called a manifold for short.

And Travis is right you don't need bigger ports for more power.
