dcoe manifold

Just wondering if anyone here was selling a dcoe manifold or would be willing to have one made for me...theres not really any place in my are willing to do it. 1d be willing to spend around $250 for it. thanks

not for $250 try more like $550-600.

For $250 you could probably make your own... if you can get all the parts for that cheap. I'm not sure what the DCOE mounting flanges go for.

I've seen an aluminum welding product, Alumaloy... which my only concern would be if it would fail under high temps... other wise its a very easy welding tool to work with... you only need propane to heat the aluminum then you just apply the welding rod once the metal you're heating is hot enough to melt the rod, let it cool and thats it.

Use Phydeux's how-to on making the DCOE manifold since he basicly went as far as assembling all the parts but was unable to weld the parts together in house so he had a shop do it.

i don't think the engine will heat up to 700+ deg.

the welding pros I"ve contacted online and off tell me a tig is needed, and a fairly strong one at that. there is going to be
alot of stress as well as heat. I'd like to hear how the ones
done here were fabricated, meaning what kind of welder was
used

Yes, you pretty much have to tig it. You problaby could get away with mig but it would have to be a very good weld. I had to take it to several shops before I found a place that would even touch mine.

YOu'll need a tig, best bet is cutting out the manifold and getting all the parts together and then finding a very reputable shop to do it for you. A mig will fall apart, and wouldnt that be imbarrassing? As well as a serious fire hazard.
