okay i was at the junkyard just goin thru all the hondas to see what i could find and there was a prelude with a dual carb manifold. so i was thinking. can you put like dual 32/36's on that or would there be much of a power increase. an would i have to change the head and get in to a lot more trouble then its worth. if i can just swap the manifold i figured the hardest part would be building a linkage for the webers. and definatly some kind of high flow fuel pump right? and maybe ram air to keep up with the demand of air with all the fuel. but i could be way off. i just thought i would see if any of you guys knew. Thanks

I don't see why dual 32/36's won't work... It will be tough making a custom manifold though. I think the linkage would be the hardest since you would have to line up the throttle shafts perfectly to avoid binding.

THe Dual Carbs on the prelude are like bike carbs. It's better to stick with the A20 head if you're going to make dual down drafts sice i think we have bigger ports on our head.

actually linkage should be very easy. just ran two throttle cables from the gas pedal. you already should have throttle cable and cruise control cable there. remove cruise control cable and see if you can use throttle cable insted.

I've used the treunk cable once so it should be okay... I never thought of hooking both cables to the pedal...

i thought that civic that races with the a20 had dual carbs. also i thought there was a dual carb manifold made for the a20 already...hmmm maybe not. you would use a treunk cable to use the two carbs, you dont want to drown the motor with gas because i think the cable runs one carb until you hit a certain spot on the throttle with the first carb and it opens up the second. kinda complicated

That sounds like it would work good, but if the two cables rubbed at all they wouldn't last for years down the road. I've just started working on my Custom Weber manifold for my 32/36. (I've had the thing sitting around for a good 6 months and haven't touched it) So I thought it was time to start.

the civic had Quad Carbs... It's actually considered IR (Individual Runner) Just like the dual DCOE's on a 4cyl.

yes u can run dual webers on a a20. you have to find a a18 or et2 prelude head and have it bored toa 2.0 adn then the lude intake mani will bolt on and u can run duel weber dcoes 40's or 45's. iim soon goign to be runnign this setup in my lude.

would the dual carb manifold from the prelude bolt right up to the accord head?

nope you need the A18 head.
