Now, pistons time!!!! ;)

Look at the crank bearing. Almost all bearing are chipped... It's not oil on my finger, it's bearing parts.... can you tell me what the japanese guy have did with this engine :stick:

There's the way to remove pistons without broke anything in the cylinder. Put a small piece of clothes(your old t-shirt :lol ) and tape it on the bolt.

Last pic of the monster crank

It's not a joke, trust me, i'm sure there is the 1/5 of the engine weight on the crank!

That's all folks! next step, the head!

Damn that i'm afraid to forget some bolt when i'll rebuild the engine :lol

About the bearing, all the internal are the same than the b20a5. I've asked to carotman. Tnx all!

CArotman told me that the chips was not easy to see, so here's a bigger pic of the bearing. All in red are parts of the bearing chipped.

I know this is more money, but I think you should take the block to a machine shop to have it all put together OR AT LEAST let me inspect the block and check the clearances. You dont want to put it all together get a stupid little problem.

***EDIT*** Didnt mean to say "let me inspect" LOL I meant to say THEM

i'm from montreal, quebec, i don'T think that you'll be able to check the block. For sure i'll send it to a machine shop to check the cylinder and the block, but I will rebuild it by my own.

sulfuric pitting. a sure fire sign of a lack of pcv venting.

Sulfuric pitting:confused: What is that exactely and is it only a problem with the aluminum parts.

all the block are in aluminium, so it's not a general problem. It's only the bearing who are dead

He is referring to the B20A and its a aluminum block but if your reffering to the A20A then you right it is cast iron. For my purpose i wouldnt mind the B20A being cast iron but im just happy its closed deck and not open like most of the newer aluminum block b-series.
