starting problem ????

hey guys i have an 86 fi accord it's been off the road for 2 months i went to start it yesterday it started then shut off right away when i realised the key then i tried again same thing then i took out the key fliped it over pushed on the gas a little bit started but i herd a bang and it ran fine, i'm thinking its the the part where the key goesis worn out becausse the time it got broken into they put screws in the ignition but they broke so i changed it with the parts car i had,

guys please help car has great sentimental value was my grandfathers that passed away, i need it to start good

well if the car sits for a long time it will have trouble starting.
