View Full Version : Pinstripes? Yay or Nay? whatcha think?

Ok now the question is should I keep the pinstriping or get rid of it? Some like it while others hate it, I can't decide myself so I'm asking you guys... also my hood has a minor dent in it, I've heard it said that the charcoal hatch was a rare color to have, is it going to be hard to find a stock replacement at the junkyard the same color, or would it be in my best interest to go ahead and get this one fixed? Thanks for the input guys I appreciate it

i think it looks ok. I'd keep it. It might look worse once its taken off.

Maybe if the red portion was blue, it would look a little bit better. Either that color, or black or white.

Ehh, I vote nay. For one Im not a big fan of pinstripes, but if they were a different color I would say maybe. But with your car, keeping its color in mind, it actually might look worse with no pinstripes. Just my 2 cents.

i was sort of undecided, but if i had to lean in any one direction it would be to remove them. my only concern would be how the paint looks underneath.

I almost like them, I wouldn't remove that much pinstriping until I'm ready to repaint it though.

nay. i took my orignal pinstripe off of factory paint, and it looks fine. looks a lot cleaner w/ them off IMO.

i like your pinstripes, its like nothing ive ever seen on a 3g, and different is good. As far as the hood goes, i think your car would look sweet with a CF hood being the color it is.

i don't really know about the pen stripe, maybe if it was continued onto the part behind the rear wheel it would look better. and i'd get the dent fixed.

i personally dont like pin stripes, my car doesnt have them and i dont think it would look right if it did...i say nay.

It's a tough one. I took mine off the Accord and I like the clean look. Then on my TL I like the pinstripe.

well, i say keep those stripes. that makes it so we can tell its your car. makes it unique. personally, i dont have pinstripes on my 3gee, but i was thinking about getting some when it gets a repaint. they were going to be red. but yeah, this is a unique thing for your car.

Keep it... it SCREAMS 80's and it makes it look more original...not that you nessecarily care. I think it looks hot with your paint color, and i agree that a cf hood would look nice.

keep the stripes if you plan to use some red accents, it would probably look good that way, but if not get rid of it
