ok lil deal here, i have a jensen cdh1000 deck now this deck was only 150 bucks, but my question is, i just got a kenwood kac-7285 600 watt amp, and i have (1) one jl audio 10" w0 in a small sealed box, the box i beleave is a truck box, my question(s) are #1 does the jensend deck supply enough voltage threw the rca cables for the amp? i have talked to a friend and he said that a jensen deck like mine only supplys 2 volts? (no clue) and i know my brother inlaws eclipse deck sent 4.5volts is there any differance? #2 question is this is not my amp yet, just barrowing it for time beeing, i am good with custem installs, my question is, i dont have alot of power wire (i am flat ass broke! too) i have checked the length of what i have and it is about 6 feet, i know it makes it to under my seat when i just run it along the door to check if it will work, but where do i send it thre the firewall? (passenger side) i i wanna wire it from under my seat to under the side rail plastic (the area the door will cover when closed) is it a good idea to just screw down the amp to the floor underneath my seat?/ any precautions???? as for the sub, i was just gonna set the box all the way back towerd the seet in the trunk and wire some speakerwire back ther! my seats dont fold so im not worried about anythang, and i always keep the quick release on the driver side floor locked! any advice????:stupid: :rice:

The voltage shouldn't be a problem, it's just a low level input and your not going very far. As for where to run it on the passenger side, just look for an unused grommet cut a hole in it and feed the wire through, you can also cut a whole in a used rubber seal, just make sure to seel it up after the wire is in place with some silicon. I would put plywood under your carpet under the seat and screw the amp into that, less worries about rust and grounding issues.

according to online discriptions, you HU RCA outputs producing 3v. that is not bad. the only problem is that it is not dedicated Subwoofer output. that means you will have to set your amp to LP or low pass.
about subwoofer, well, it is rated at 125 RMS watts. if you are going to push 600watts of power into it, you will see some smoke commin gout of it. i would recomend switching to something with less power, let's say something like this http://www.savinglots.com/lotprod.asp?item=SPL2300
or this http://www.savinglots.com/lotprod.asp?item=SPL2120

if i was you, i would get another sub just like it and wire them into 2ohm and let it rip.

if i was you, i would get another sub just like it and wire them into 2ohm and let it rip. well the amp is a 600watt MAX amp, its actualy only pushing i beleave 125-150 reguler, but i hve the gain turned down to medium, as for the low pass thang you said, i have the amp turned to mono and also the filter is on, so its strait bass not stereo sound, if i wanted 600 watts outa my amp, it would be bridged off the amp into 300 watts and then i can do dual subs off 1 speaker wire, and thats at 2 ohm, then it would be 300 watts for each sub, thats 600 watts total, i beleave i have thought of this correctly, who knows!!!! but the way it was hooked up in my buddys car. i was figuering it was getting 100-150 rms, so thats why the gain was turned low, i dont wanna blow it till i can afford a new sub
