Here's a temporary solution...havent got my civic adapter/perf. filter yet..and i wanted some room under the hood. wondering whats the black thingie on the carb? stock carb grille covered with girlfriend's stocking =) this is weak

dude, put a filter on that thing........ something will def in that motor with that little vegatable strainer on there.......flip you lid, get a K&N and get a scoop....... simple as that....... next question?

now THATS what i call a short ram! :D deffinately get a better filter on that ASAP. that stocking isnt good enough to filter out the really small stuff.

stocking works as a filter (kinda :rolleyes: )
i'm planning to build a CAI..with civic adapter. I havent find a nice filter yet (performance stuff is not very widely spread here..thay want ~80$ for a regular cone filter ffs :mad:
i think stock-shaped k&n + flipped lid costs as much as self-made CAI (piping is free around here) so no point in doing this....i hope my carb is not so whiner-type and can wait few weeks :D

yup..not a good idea to use sandy country-roads with "intake" like this
hmz...maybe i should use triple-stocking-setup til i get the filter :lol

that sucks about the filters man.

is that an A20 in there? i thought the aerodecks came with the B20 in them?

afaik european aerodecks came with A20A2 (86,87) and A20A4 (88-89), some japanese aerodecks had B-s under the hood (some pgm-fi, some dual carbs....take a look http://www.honda.co.jp/HOT/ModelData/accord/6ac3-ka-505/line_up.html)

so were the JDM aerodecks available in europe? We have a few european members on here with aerodecks and they have the b20 in them.

*edit* looking at that page, what engine code is the DOHC 1.8 motor? as far as i know, the only 1.8 that was available for our cars is the a18a, but its SOHC.

yea...i removed most of the unneccessary junk :D
better coolig, better to fix, clean, install stuff in the future etc. and european models afaik dont have so much stuff (vacuum black box variuos sensors etc) as US models

hmm, just noticed you dont have all that emissions bullshit. like the big black vac. box infront of the carb. i was wondering why i looked different from my car. maybe i should take all that crap away. im shur it would free up a small amount of power.

do you have any local junkyards? i think they call them breaker yards in someplaces in europe. there are some aerodeck parts i want......can you help me out?

what parts do u need man.
if ur interested in clear euro corners i can say that these are rather rare things to find in junkyards. price is usually ~50$/1piece (used)

btw i bought another another aerodeck (complete, only engine block was damagedas) a donor car for 60$ =)
i have the engine in my room and wondering what to do with it (also A20A2). maybe i should try porting the head and do sth with the manifold? if i fck it up then it's not a big deal. anyone got some ideas?

well...do you have AOL instant messanger or any sort of messanger? it would be faster then this......i would LOVE the aerodeck emblems and the JDM corners from your donor car if you dont need them.

also...i dont know if you have looked in the glove compartment...but i would love the manual that came with the aerodeck. :D
