Bouncing water temp gauge

Now this is strange...my water tem gauge will not stay still, When I mash the gas it drops like a rock then slowly recovers. System is full of water. Is mu temp sender going south? Thanks!!:werd:

hmm it could be full and still have air pockets... also it might be the thermostat or the waterpump... or some kinda electrical short... but I think it's more a flow problem.
