View Full Version : Tach Bouncing!!!!

My tach has a mind of its own. When I drive my car, the tach gos up but it bouncs its way up. It will go up as high as 1k over what its really doing. It wont go any lower then what its really doing....say im going at 3k...it will bounce around in 3-4k. The engine is not reving or anything. Just the tack doing stupid stuff.

When mine did that it was the distributer I got mine from autozone for a little over 200 after tax and a lifetime warenty

might be a coil fault too

could be the cable.

Check the wires for the ignitor on the distributor.. there could be a short.
