Weird Headlights

With the low beams on, only the right headlight works. With the high beams on, only the left headlight works. I've swapped the headlights and the results are the same. Does anyone have any clue about this. This is an '86 Accord.

Probably a snapped wire in the wire harness leading to that light. What happens is over the years of the lights flipping up and down, stress cracks form on the wires and they eventually give up. You'll have to find where the break is (I would start from the plug to plug into the back of the headlight) and resolder it together.

maybe a plug is on wrong? is that possible? i dont know.

Check fuse #7 and #9 in the dash fuse box.

also cheack for corrosion. i had a similar problem with my friends fiero and i just used some vinigar on the connections to clea rthe corrosion. probably not the problem but it's worth a try.
