i know the hard part about engine swaps are the OBD1 or OBD2 conversions. but why not just use the ECU and harness that originally works with the engine you are swapping in or use an aftermarket ECU and just worry about how to wire your guages to work? basically, everything from one car to another...just using the swap-ee car's shell right?
