I have read past posts regarding this issue, so do not tell me to search.

I have H4 conversions, and my driver's side bulb blew out (low beam only, and I hope the wire did not snap again), and I am in the market for new bulbs. I saw some made by Sylvania, supposed to be 4000K super white, but they were 50 bucks a set. The ones I have didn't last long, thus they were cheap.

Anyway, for those of you H4 Conversion people, what bulbs do you use, and what are your favorite ones? What type of light do they put out?

i run piaa 55w super whites, and i'm quite happy with the light they put out, my first set lasted a year until a low beam went out, then i somehow got them warrantied and got a free new set:D

This is not on my 3G, but I did the same exact conversion before.
I used Matrix 100/90W ultra white bulbs. They were nice for only $20. I noticed they were a bit brighter and had less flicker when I upgraded to a H4 harness conversion.

it you wait a little. i may have my Diamond cut headlights with Raybrig ($90) bulbs for sale.

Believe it or not, running bulbs higher than the 55/60 wattage will cause faster burn outs. As a matter of fact, 90/100W bulbs will only last half as long, at best.

Also, a 100W bulb DOES NOT put out twice as much light as a 50W bulb. I think you are best off sticking with a very good quality 55/60W bulb. I know it doesn't sound as impressive.

That's what I've got is 55/60W, and apparently these didn't last long at all. I knew they wre crap when I got them though. Just didn't expect for it to burn out on the drivers side like it did the past couple of times.

You might have had other issues. I have Hella 55/60's in mine. I used H4 conversion lights in my old Pontiac and had them in for over five years before I sold the car and they never burned out.

Besides the quality of the bulb, there are issues with vibration (can be affected by the types of roads you normally drive), moisture, voltage fluctuations, etc.

Basically, you just have to use what works best for YOU.
