:wtf: it freakin broke! ................... i started drinving home from the store and stepped on the brakes and they fell to the floor.:(
the driver side front brake line broke. and i kinda almost hit a semi. i had to down shift and use the e brake. that was pretty fun:burn: i guess it was just old and worn or something. i found out that the brake line cost like 37 bucks. anyone know where i can get it cheaper?

I had that happen... If one side broke, replace the other side! I got mine from Honda for 75 apiece, so I would say 37 is a steal.

75 bucks a pop thats not worth it plus i like halfway spinning out every time i pull the brake. i stopped leaking fluid with a screw in the line.

Whenever I buy brake lines I just buy a good name from a parts store chain and they are usually around $18-30 a piece, sounds a little high. Just call all the parts store in your area.

Hey at least your rear bias valve didn't fail and lock your rear brakes on the hwy and cause lots of damage resulting in having to get a whole new rear brake system.

That happened to me in the SHO during the summer, I couldn't keep or accelerate speed in any gear above third!

Smoke was coming out of the rear tires, ruined the calipers+slider pins, rotors, brakes, brake hoses MELTED, wasn't fun...

damn, that blows man. we were driving to the beach the summer and the rear break stuck on our van. wore the thing down to nothing and made the drum so hot that the hubcap melted. the van also stunk like, well, brunt rubber, for the next 100 miles.

what i should say yeah drive around with a screw in your brake hose posing a danger to everyone on the road. somebody had to say it.what if you child was crossing the street and mister no brakes couldnt stop in time and splattered your kid on the pavement. all for a measly $40 hose. you wouldnt call me an asshole then would you ?

Damn I was going to say that. Well anyway for important things like stoping paying a bit more is never a problem

Good for you Sean, glad you spoke up.

And 75 bucks a pop is worth it. They lasted 17 years on mine, so 75 dollars for 17 years is worth it. Personally when I slam on that brake pedal I want my car to stop, and know it will. If that isn't worth it to you, then my opinion is you should not even be on the road :werd:

Damn how'd I miss all this?????? Oh yeah I been all over FL for 3 days.

If you haven't figured out how important brakes are then you're ass shouldn't even be driving a damn car. I get soo sick of the whole "ghetto fix"(no offense Ben). I wish people would understand that cars cost money even after you buy them (sometimes lots of money the same day ya buy them in my case) If you can't afford to fix the IMPORTANT things right then take the damn bus. I'd tell ya to walk but if you're too lazy to fix things right I'm sure you're too lazy too walk as well:flip:
