I recently bought a replacement motor for my 89cord. I didnt' find an engine code on it but i believe its the same a20a1. It appears to be the same but all my brackets (alternator, a/c, power steering) had to be swapped for the originals.
It wasn't until I had the motor in and was putting the carburator back on that I noticed the intake will not mount the carburator properly. I took the new intake off in an attempt to swap it with my original only to find that my old intake manifold will not bolt up to the block. The new block and intake have circle holes and the original had oval.
What I need is an intake with the circle holes that will mount with my carburator. My question is: Do you think that someone will have the intake manifold that fits the new motor and the original carb. or will I have to use the new intake and get a new carb. If thats true then will the new carb.'s hoses hook up properly to my car?
any thoughts are helpful.
