I was just bored, here is my idea for the 05 accord. mostly subtle changes, I think they should bring something similiar back.

Never happen. However, I do like the Acura TSX styling (Accord Euro/JDM).

ya never know it could happen. i mean after the 03 they may as well let anybody design it. im still not sure if I like the 04 either. either way if they dont want it, fuck it, i'll make my own! hahahahahaha

wow. i really actualy like that. and not just bias towards 3geez...i mean..i really like that.
i love the sharp lines of the accord. the last good year was the 6th gen. the 7th gens are too goddamn round. still gorgeous and luxurious and well built but i dont particularly like the body styling.

i really like that. i mean it could use a few alterations in IMO but i like it. keep the lines of the car very boxy but keep them smooth, and rounded. and angled! i love the angle of the 6th gen----also the 4th gen ludes have the same kinda lines.

MarioBurke

Sure i can try and make a more detailed drawing. my design for this car is basically the smooth angles of the 3 gee with just minor minor changes. I really like the stock JDM spoiler so that is what I want to put on mine. body shape is mainly the same except for the rockers and rear bumper aleady have skirts, but nothin fancy at all. simple is always better. the front bumper I kinda designed to be big mouth but keeping with the angle, not big round.

I was really having a problem with the corner turn signal next to the headlamp. I also added the rear turn signal you see on the side of the 94-96 accord bumper. the mirrors are some sort of F1 stlying.

as far as the headlamps go I to change them a bit. i wanted to take the JDM lights and give them a more BMW angel eye styles. anyway maybe i will throw out some more ideas and see what i come up with. I have one idea i will draw out and post

If Honda did that design with the kickass V6 6 speed I would bite the bullett and sign a loan for one.

MarioBurke
10-22-2003, 06:43 PM
that was actually what Terry and I were thinking, it should have the V6 260hp and 6 spd transmission

It could happen
There was a guy on this board (dont remember his user name) who had put prelude (the newest style) headlights, and intgera (last style) tailights on his ride, and it looked good (cept for the color he choose to paint it, but thats just my personal opinion)

Anyway looks tight, if you decide to do a conversion like that you better post some pics of the process.

Good luck man :werd:

That is weird Mario cause that is pretty much what I want to do to my 3G. Have the projector headlights and pretty close to that same bumber. Thats for putting the image in my head onto paper.:)

just the headlight conversion would be Sweet. Start at the headlights. then hood, then body.

MarioBurke

i am crazy like that. i see things in my head and I gotta get them out on paper or something. maybe if somebody would help get the project started now!!

hey, that's pretty kool idea! copyright it man before honda steal your idea! :)

Justin86

Well I'm going to steal that cause that is what I wanted to do since I got my 3G. Projector head lights, the same bumper a stock looking side skirts but I'm still lost on the rear bumper. Maybe Mario can help me out on that part.

i think its an awesome idea. but i think if its gonna happen we should make it look like the 2005.2 car... with the mean tilted in headlights... looks pissed like a silvia! :D if i had that look on the front of my car i would be SET! like the guy who put skyline headlights on! :D

Justin86
11-21-2003, 06:11 PM
That would look pretty bad ass. I had a dream last night about cuttting three holes in my hood and putting plexiglass inserts in place of the holes. Have a big one in the center of the hood showing the valve cover and two long ones running down the side of the big hole.

With all the effort that some of us put into the 3g, this could be totally do-able. I was going to try making retractable fog light covers with the stock bumper and covers.

That car just looks like its laughing at you
specially with that front bumper., and that grille-less hood would be awesome.

I've got a custom body kit, that I have made my self, as for the lights, they will be done as soon as I get more money

MarioBurke
11-23-2003, 07:53 PM
well I have plenty of ideas I just dont have the tools and some of the experience to do everything. I would love to start a project if i could get some help from some of you guys

Just stick with the 2nd version with the non pop up lights. It looks just like a big grin. :D Wanna race???

11-23-2003, 10:50 PM
wow! thats like the Jaguar XJ220 headlamps.. The shield that protects the headlights and a motor moves it out when it's on.

MarioBurke
11-23-2003, 11:21 PM
well i was going for the big mouth look on the front bumper like some of the civics had, but i wanted it to look somewhat stock too. i will look at the jaguar and see what the headlights do. that might be an interesting concept

i think it could be done for damn near free, just the price of some junk yard special lights and some other stuff (some type of motor, i dont know what kind of plastic would be that flexable and still hold paint- you would need a really good epoxy primer- and other than that you would need to fabricate a track for all of the stuff to travel on.. very feasible... i'll see if i can make some kind ofg model to use, and get a couple of extra eyebrows... i'll get y'all something..:super:

MarioBurke
12-01-2003, 01:22 PM
actually i use a special plastic paint from dupont that holds to any flexible plastic. its some really amazing stuff. you can cut it, chop it, hammer it, bend it, and TRY to tear it, and it wont come off.

How about this?: take out the bulb and plastic and everything from our flip up lights so that you just have a flap that flips up and down. Then, take some mean looking lights from another car and fit them inside, just behind the flip up "flap." Then, do a sleepy-eye mod on the "flap" so that it comes up just enough to expose the mean, lower profile lights inside. It wouldn't be as infinately cool as a retractable shield, but might be easier. The problem would be finding small enough lights to put in there.

Looks nice, but 2005? I don't think so. Make it look more like a bubble, that's how the styling is these days.

actually I really like that idea. I may possibly think about dont that. how do you do the sleepy eye thing? speaking of sleepy, im going to bed

Now that I've seen some pics of 3Gs with sleepy eyes, it looks kind of wierd, not quite right. It would be nice to take out the trim on the headlights and put some smaller lights inside, but I still want something to be motorized, or flip up.

I was thinking that maybe the headlight trim could be drawn down into the bumper, or moved aside some other way to expose lights behind it.

Mario Burke, what's that bendable plastic you were talking about? The Dupont stuff. Is it expensive?
