i am doing an engine swap on an 89 accord, and while going to remove the hubnuts, i came across a problem. the nuts were bent into the post, so that the not could not spin off, how do i go about removing this nut?

Bend the nut back out.

gonna have to raise the tab, might try using a chisel to beat it up out of the groove

or you can use impact wrench.

You are supposed to do bend the hubnut in with a flathead and a hammer so it does not come off over time. That is a non reusable part. Mine was frozen in place. The dealship mechanic hooked me up, he had to use an assetling torch and an impact wrench to get that bitch off. You can try putting a pipe over the end of the wrench. I managed to break four craftsmen 1/2 drive wrenches that way. It worked on the other side though.

According to the Honda Factory manual they should be replaced. I usually follow what the manufacturer reccomends.
