i have my 3rd gen prelude rims that are silver. they were from like 88-89 i guess. anyway, they paint is chipping off of the wheels being that they are old and were probley not well taken care of. so everyone tells me to get them repainted, which i have been thinking about. last week, i saw a non-Si civic hatch with 80s Si wheels repainted in gunmetal. they looked sweet! you cant imagine how good they looked. i thought that would make them look small, but it didnt realy. this inspired me to get mine done sometime when i have a bit of extra money. considering my friends cousin who does body work now is doing powder coating, he is doing it for a lot cheaper than anywhere else i can find. so theres one solution for the painting part. but the thing is, what color should i paint/powder coat them? silver is OUT! i dont want them silver if im getting them redone. first thought was gunmetal, then white, black, red? i dont know. but i want them to stand out fosho! anyway, i guess you guys would be the best to help me out on a decision. my cars color theme is red and black. although, i dont know about those color choices being exactly in line with that. my choice would be gunmetal. maybe with a red lip? i think that would look good. anyway, vote for what ya think is good for the rims.
heres a pic of the rim (no, i dont have those tires anymore)

Gunmetal or black. Go with powdercoat, it kicks ass.

Well if the car is white then white wheels would look good. I saw some red wheels on a white civic once but that looked like shite. Probably black or gunmetal.

oh, the pic up there is my car. its champain beige, otherwise know as gold. the other colors used throughout the car are red and black. i guess gunmetal is the way to go. i just dont want them to look stock. a drop would make them look better too.
