c.v stands for constant velocity it transfers the power from the transmission to the wheels !

their job !
1.transfers the power from the transmission to the wheels !
2. C.V. joints are used to make steering while driving possible in Front wheel drive cars .
3. let the power go to the wheel that has less friction ! ( like turning a hard corner one wheel turns faster than the other ! )

thanks, i know what cv joints are, but the term "cv shaft" was what i questioned, i believe they mean the drive axle.
so my new question, will this "cv shaft" work on my 4 door 1989 accord lxi

yes a C.V shaft is the drive axle ! anyway i looked @ the ebay part and it 'll fit but that's driver's side for an automatic car !!! and it's remanufactured ! which i think they don't last long !
