has anyone ever swapped an a20a1 with an a20a3? i know you might say, why not swap it with a b18 or a b20, but i like the a20 and i think they are cheaper to get. can someone help me?

The only differance is the cam gear and that the intake manifold is carb. Pretty much same engine.

yeah but doesn't the a20a3 have 122 hp not 98, right?

O.k. basically the block is the same, but the head is different, because of the cam gear.

The head is the same, just a differant gear, I also think the a3 has a bit higher compression. If you want to swap engines check out the howto section on converting to fuel injection. You need to do a few more things than just swapping the engine.

Nope I will not recomed any of those engines but I will recomed the SEARCH button, but all of the nice people have all ready said everything needed except EFI swap????

yup..a20a3 has higher compression, diff cam and of course fuel injection..
otherwise, basically the same engine
