I've always wanted a car with very wide fenders, well now I'm thinking about fender flares. I know these pics are of a model car, but it's the only flares I could find.

I want those or ones similar to those with wheels that stuck out like this

Of course I'd cut out the fenders and do everything right so there wouldn't be any rubbing issues. Who here thinks that would look sweet? I guess I didn't think about this before, but the back door would be a big problem with that. So let's say I do this to a coupe or hatch. Would you guys like it?

Dude if you do that I'll pay you for a set. You can still do it to a 4 door, just modify the door. Imo loose the wing.

sorry dude, you've probably been hassled before bout this, but whats up with the alumn. wing? If you want it just for looks thast super, to each his own.

The reason i ask is because today i had a rather amusing converstation with someone who had a wing on anotherwise stock 240sx. He kept trying to convince me it gave max downforce at lower speeds and it "imporoved my cornering 100 times over!" He really didn't know their head from his ass, i should have recorded it LOL.

anyway, fender flares would be killer!, if of course done with good taste.

I'd love to get my hands on fender flares like that, especially if you just screw them on. It would really help out us folks with nasty winters (therefore, mega rust on the fenders).

1986 Toyota CELICA GTS has perfect flares... my buddie has one and while he had the flares off, he let me size em up... almost perfect fit!!! i hot it looked awesome

hey kicker the 86-92 rx7 has nice aftermarket flairs or what about the acura legend fenders if you cut those and welded them on(sort of what I am thinking). Sorry about all the flack your getting about that wing you should get rid of it :tongue:

i would say go for it. i wanted to do a wide body conversion to my car. my friends cousin does body work and knows how to do it. i like the fender flares on the elantra in that ebay link. i like how they are molded to the body.

I've never been a fan of wings, but I think it looks pretty good since his wheels and car match it.........

I love fender flares....... give it a shot
